The hotels were all nice and more than I expected.

Fun,educational but tiring without a free day!
4 star because I think we needed a little more time to search on our own in some places and a day of rest between Scotish/Irish tour.

Trip of a lifetime with breathtaking views & stunning historical bulidings
I said all of this in my customer experience part #1. Beautiful historical hotels, delicious food, fascinating, special mini tours in some cities.

The trip was well organized and well put together as far as itinerary, things to see and do, and knowledgeable guides.

Scotland scenery, great; Ireland commentary, excellent!
The scenery speaks for it self; the tour guide needs to learn NOT to swallow the mic when talking as the "extra" guide's commentary was completely clear. Adjusting the lunch offering to the lock tour would allow more time at the following, more substantial site!
You tours gravitate toward more elderly couples, so why is that only one hotel, out of all of them, provided two luggage caddies, requiring one person's suit case to be on the floor? (Maybe you'll have to opportunity to see how it is to access a suitcase @ 73, while it is sitting on the floor!)
The food was absolutely boring. Every meal, provided by C.I.E., seemed to be a just about a repeat of the former both in offerings and prep methods.
Here's another two constant irritants. (1)Those tubs with the "partial" glass shower tub door, ALWAYS allowed considerable amounts of water to escape the tub and occupy the floor. Once again, you have older people stepping out of the tub onto a slippery floor....an accident just waiting to happen! (2) There seems to be a shortage of towel bars in every hotel!
Radisson Blu: Toilet seat loose; both tub & sink terribly slow drain. Now I understand that stuff happens, what is exasperating is that when reported, we were advised that it would be taken care of....it wasn't, and they had two days. Not a response that engenders "good feeling" towards a hotel that is much less than a "budget" hotel. Also, no clock & no coffee maker.
Glencoe Hotel: Very nice accommodations in a picturesque location; NO luggage caddies; arguably the BEST dinner we received on the entire Scotland/Ireland tour; breakfast reinforced the "normal" breakfast fare.
Atholl Palace Hotel: Beautiful grounds! Mattress could really use a "refresh." The only hotel with two luggage caddies! Wet floor, too.
Newton Hotel Inverness Rd: Four of us occupied two room; one room was recently renovated and quite good, the Chaplain Suite, however, could really use an update. The food was 2nd only to Glencoe.
MacDonalds Holyrood: Very nice!
