Excellent driver and local experts. The itinerary worked for us. We would definitely recommend CIE tours.

We chose this tour because it was our first time to Ireland/Scotland and this truly gave us a very extensive range of places and sights. Tour guide/driver (Nigel) was exceptional and other guides were very good as well - they were all very knowledgeable and entertaining, made each experience a lot of fun. All individual tours were well planned and offered a wide range of settings, both rural and urban, historic and scenic. Only a slight drawback was the early rising time required, but overall a wonderful trip!

Loved the sights to tour. .

Most of the hotels were very nice except one. That particular hotel did not have internet, television or A/C. Only 2 of the hotels had air conditioning and it was very hot (not typical weather). I would recommend a few more hours in St. Andrews (especially for the golfers!)

Enjoyable and enlightening
Brendan, our driver and guide made the trip wonderful for us. The first day in Glasgow would try the patience of a saint. The Double Tree Hotel staff was not happy to see us and made not one effort to to welcome us or make us comfortable....nearly soured the entire trip. CIE should not continue to patronize that hotel. Everything else was above my expectations. Wonderful trip.
